Creamy Mushroom Soup

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 250g fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 cups broth (chicken or vegetable)
  • 1 cup cooking cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a pot over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Sauté the chopped onion until it becomes translucent, then add the minced garlic and stir for a minute.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook, stirring, until they soften and release their moisture.
  3. Sprinkle 2 tbsp of flour over the mushrooms and stir well. Gradually add the broth, stirring continuously until the mixture becomes smooth and thickens.
  4. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the cooking cream and stir, letting it cook for another 5 minutes without letting it boil.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg, if desired.
  7. Serve hot and garnish with chopped parsley. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can blend the soup before adding the cream.
