Rice Pudding with Cream
Ingredients

½ cup Egyptian rice

1 liter liquid milk

Preparation

Prepare the Rice:

Wash the rice thoroughly, then soak it in water for 5 minutes.

In a pot, add the rice with 1 cup of water and cook until the water is absorbed.

Cook the Milk and Rice:

Place the pot over medium heat, add the milk, and bring it to a boil while stirring continuously.

Once the milk starts boiling, add ½ cup of cream and mix well.

Add the sugar and stir continuously to prevent sticking.

Thicken the Pudding:

In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in a little water.

Gradually add the dissolved cornstarch to the rice mixture, stirring constantly.

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and the whipped cream powder, stirring for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens and the rice is fully cooked.

Final Steps:

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Pour the rice pudding into serving bowls.

Garnish as desired with pistachios, cinnamon, coconut, or raisins.
